Struggling with a Reactive Aussie?

Does your dog pull, bark, or lunge at other dogs or strangers?

You’ve tried walks, treats, even pro trainers — but nothing works long-term.

You’re not alone — and it’s not your fault. Aussies are brilliant but reactive by nature.

With the right method, you can stop reactivity and unlock the calm, well-behaved dog you’ve always wanted.

 Finally, the path to a

 relaxed and happy Aussie 🙌

What if your Aussie was actually fine with strangers and dogs?

What if your Aussie could just watch the world without commentary?

It's time to stop just wishing you had a calmer Aussie... and make it a reality!

Our program equips you with the tools to enjoy a harmonious life with your Aussie.

Introducing...

Reactivity Rehab

The Course to Transform your Australian Shepherd from  Reactive to Relaxed

Inside Reactivity Rehab, you'll get everything you need to resolve your Aussie's behavior so you can stop dreading walks and enjoy dog ownership with a wonderful companion.

 Tell me if this

 sounds like you 👇

✅ You want your dog to stop being reactive.

✅ You need for walks to be relaxing instead of stress-inducing.

✅ You've over trying to figure it out on your own while your Aussie just practices these bad habits.

✅ You wish there was a way to get your Aussie to be calm and quiet on walks without having to resort to walks at midnight or using a corrective collar just to have control.

✅ You want your dog to stop being reactive.

✅ You have too many judgey looks (and sometimes comments) coming your way.

✅ You're tired of feeling hopeless, frustrated and embarrassed.

Good news! 🥳🥳🥳

I help my clients with those same problems every single day
And if you're like any of them, you've probably made some of the same mistakes.

Why Traditional Training Fails for Aussies

Most owners fall into these traps:

❌ Excessive Exercise: Tiring your dog out won’t fix underlying triggers.

❌ Obedience Drills: “Sit” and “Stay” don’t stop reactivity.

❌ Forceful Methods: Punishment creates more stress and fear.

❌ Wrong Focus: Emotions have to be changed first to change behavior.

The Reactivity Rehab Program fixes this with a breed-specific method based on trust, calm energy, and expert-led training.

There is hope for your dog ❤️
Training will work as long as it is the right training.
Start seeing results in your first week  of training and look forward to all the progress you'll be making.
Here are just a few training successes clients have had with the training inside Reactivity Rehab

Reactivity Rehab completely changed our lives. My Aussie went from barking and lunging at every dog we saw to calmly walking by my side. I never thought this would be possible!

Joining Andrea’s Reactivity Rehab course was the best thing I did as a new Aussie mom.

I did the Reactivity Rehab course with my Aussie, and everything in the course worked on the dime! The course gave me all the tools to handle my strong, large male dog at my age over 60, and the results have been amazing. He’s calmer, more focused, and our walks are now enjoyable instead of stressful!

Imagine...
✅ There was a way to say goodbye to crazy tantrums forever...
✅ You could finally have the relaxing walk you need (and your dog needs)...
✅ You could actually look forward to outings together and take your Aussie more places for adventure...
✅ You could have unexpected visitors over without drama from your dog...
✅ You could have all of the above with an enjoyable, repeatable process that makes both human and dog happy...

On the flip-side...

This is not for you if...
You’re looking for a magic quick fix.
You prefer to crowdsource free groups rather than get real, actionable strategy from experts.   You’re not interested in understanding your Aussie's behavior and decreasing their stress.
You don't enjoy training with your dog and building a deeper bond with them.

What's Inside Reactivity Rehab?

Module 0: Welcome & Training Prep

Get your Aussies in a row! It’s time to set up your training journey & schedule in this prep module.

Module 1: Foundations

Help your Aussie shift from fixating on triggers to noticing them without overreacting, while learning to tune into you like their favorite channel.

Module 2: Handling Skills

The most overwhelming part of having a reactive dog is dealing with those crazy outbursts. They are embarrassing and exhausting. It’s time to learn ninja handling skills to make your life easier.

Module 3: Relaxation Training

Whether your dog is reactive because they are overexcited, fearful or aggressive, they need a dose of emotional therapy to overcome their reactive behaviors. What better way to calm down those emotions than to teach them how to relax?

Module 4: Changing Emotions

We don’t want other dogs to be a source of stress or frustration for your dog. We don’t want the sight of a stranger to cause emotional turmoil. So let’s turn your dog’s negative emotions into positive ones and have triggers become trivial.

Module 5: Confidence Building

Who wouldn't benefit from a confidence boost while going through emotional therapy? Dogs with fear and anxiety will do much better in training if we can turn them into optimists and show them the world isn’t ‘out to get them’.

Module 6: Self Control & Putting it all Together

Incorporate self control training skills and combine all training components into a complete strategy to transition your Aussie from reactive to relaxed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Absolutely! There are several reasons why I think online training is one of the best ways to train:

  • It’s 100% on your schedule. Train any time at your own pace.
  • It’s at your location. No need to pack up your dog and drive anywhere. It also means you are not adding extra stress and triggers to your dog’s life before they are ready.
  • Ever had an in-person lesson and everything made sense in the moment but afterwards you know you are forgetting details, have questions and things start to get foggy? With online training you can review the lessons any time and as many times as you need. So can any family members, friends or pet sitters involved with your dog’s training.
  • It’s much more cost-effective than hiring an in person trainer. You get the same knowledge and skills without the high price tag.

If you are following the plan and training a little every day, you’ll start to see changes within a week. As you go through the course and we add more of the ingredients for those emotional changes, you’ll continue to see those results snowball.

The course is laid out as a 6 week course but you can take it at your pace. You’ll have lifetime program access so if life gets crazy you can jump back in any time.

The training exercises differ in length but on average we recommend starting with short sessions of 5-10 minutes. Much of the training you’ll be doing will start to be integrated into your life with your interactions with your Aussie.

You are able to ask questions on all video lessons. You will get an answer within 1 business day so you always have trainer support!

Nothing super special is required but we will have recommendations for you in the course of gear that can support your training. A well-fitting harness or collar and a leash are needed, and a treat pouch.

This course is primarily made up of short, bite-sized video lessons, worksheets and other cheat sheets.

We focus on positive motivational methods including several types of rewards such as treats, play, toys, praise and wigglebutt scratches. We use mild punishers to interrupt behavior and set boundaries. We do not use any corrective collars (choke, prong, shock).

Yes, this program is designed to help you fundamentally change how your dog feels about the world and is not focused on specific triggers. It helps with dogs reactive in the home to doorbells, deliveries, visitors and with dogs who are reactive when seeing other people, dogs or other triggers out on walks.

Many of our clients work with other trainers for obedience, agility and other dog sports, or for behavioral help. Usually, most training programs complement what we teach. However, if you are enrolled in training that uses ecollars or strong punishers through leash pops on corrective collars, then the mixing of training approaches can be confusing to the dog and I recommend that you choose one or the other to be successful.

Earlier intervention is always best to prevent behaviors becoming strong habits. Younger dogs and dogs with a short history of reactivity will typically take to the training faster. However, dogs of any age will greatly benefit from this training program. We have several  dogs that are 6+ go through and even a few senior dogs of 12+ years old go through our training and all see success.  If you have additional questions about the training - shoot us a quick email at Andrea@happyaussie.com.
